Gold Award Project Reporting Seminar for the China International College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (2024) Inner Mongolia Division Held at IMU

On the afternoon of September 6, Qiao Biao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of IMU, held a discussion with the main members of the 10 projects that won the gold award, their advisors, and relevant college leaders in No. 3 Meeting Room of the Academic Conference Center on Saihan Campus. In the selection competition for the Inner Mongolia division of the China International College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (2024), 31 universities across the region competed fiercely in various tracks. Among the 24 entries from IMU, 10 won gold awards, 12 won silver, and 12 won bronze. The IMU also received an Excellent Organization Award in the main track of higher education.

The meeting was chaired by Qin Zhihong, Director (Dean) of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education (College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship) and Deputy Director (Concurrently) of the Academic Affairs Office. During the meeting, the 10 gold-award project teams reported to Qiao Biao, introducing the content of their respective projects, the latest research progress, and the preparations for the national competition. These projects revolved around the theme of "Remembering the Instructions, Gratitude and Progress, Doing Well in Two Major Tasks," reflecting the efforts made by students of IMU in strengthening the sense of community for the Chinese nation.

On behalf of the IMU, Secretary Qiao Biao congratulated the project teams. He said that this achievement is not only the result of the hard work of the student teams and the careful guidance of the advisors but also reflects the support from the colleges and the university. He also stated that the university will continue to provide as much assistance as possible to the project teams in all aspects, hoping that they will continue to work hard, contribute to the completion of the "five major tasks" assigned by President Xi Jinping to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and to the construction of a "world-class university and first-rate discipline" of IMU He also wished the project teams success in the upcoming national competition.

Since its launch, the China International College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (2024) has attracted over ten thousand students from IMU, with nearly 4,000 projects registered for the campus-level competition, setting a new record for participation. Moving forward, IMU will focus on refining the projects and enhancing the capabilities of the participants, aiming for new breakthroughs in the national competition. At the same time, it will continue to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship education, stimulate students' innovative thinking and practical ability, and promote the innovation and entrepreneurship education of IMU to a higher level.
