The 2024 "Artificial Intelligence+" Academic Innovation High-end Talent Forum, hosted by the School of Computer Science (School of Software) of our university, was held in Hohhot from July 28th to 31st. More than 10 well-known domestic experts attended the event, including Zhang Zhaotian, the former executive vice director of the Department of Information Science of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Zhang Jie, the research fellow of the First Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the dean of the School of Oceanography and Spatial Information of China University of Petroleum, Xu Changsheng, the research fellow of the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National Distinguished Young Scholar, Zhang Zhaoxiang, the research fellow of the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Yangtze River Scholar, Yin Xucheng, the dean of the School of Computer and Communication Engineering of the University of Science and Technology of Beijing and the National Distinguished Young Scholar, Xu Mai, the vice president. The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Shi Zhenwei, the specially appointed dean of the School of Computer Science (School of Software).

Prof. Wu Limin, the President of our school, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, warmly welcoming the experts and scholars present. He introduced the background of the forum, the development history and current situation of the school, the talent introduction policies of the autonomous region and the school, and stated that the convening of this forum will further promote the rapid development of our school and the computer science discipline.                                             

Vice President Prof. Zhou Jiantao attended the meeting, and over 100 teachers and students from the School of Computer Science (School of Software) participated in the forum.

The forum consists of four sections: invited presentations, academic reports, discussions and exchanges, and group discussions. It focuses on the latest research progress and future development trends in the interdisciplinary fields of artificial intelligence such as ecological environment, satellite remote sensing, and emotional computing, as well as key technologies of artificial intelligence such as large models, multimodality, and autonomous driving. This forum not only broadened the academic horizons and innovative thinking of the attending teachers and students, but also played a positive role in promoting theoretical innovation and practical applications of the School of Computer Science (School of Software) in the interdisciplinary field of artificial intelligence.
