The 10th National Social Security Teaching Seminar was held in Hohhot on July 13-14. Zheng Gongcheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, President of the Chinese Association of Social Security,Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League, and a professor at Renmin University of China, attended the conference and delivered a speech. Cheng Tao, the Secretary of the Party Committee of IMU, attended the opening ceremony and gave a welcome speech on behalf of IMU.
Tong Xing, supervisor of the Chinese Social Security Association and a professor at Nanjing University; Ding Jianding, Vice President of the Chinese Social Security Association, Chairman of the Teaching Committee, and a professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology; Xi Heng, Vice President of the Chinese Social Security Association and a professor at Northwest University; Li Chungen, Deputy Chairman of the Teaching Committee of the Chinese Social Security Association and Vice President of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics; Wang Lijun, a member of the Teaching Committee of the Chinese Social Security Association, Vice President of Henan University of Economics and Law; Lu Quan, Secretary-General of the Chinese Social Security Association and a professor at Renmin University of China; Cao Xinbang, Deputy Chairman and Secretary-General of the Teaching Committee of the Chinese Social Security Association and a professor at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, etc., as well as more than 140 teachers from more than 80 universities including Sichuan University, Henan University, Liaoning University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Shandong University, Southeast University, and Capital University of Economics and Business attended the conference. Bai Weijun, Dean of the School of Public Management at IMU, chaired the opening ceremony.
Cheng Tao extended a warm welcome to all experts and delegates for their presence and guidance, and expressed sincere gratitude to all sectors of society for their long-term concern, attention and support for IMU. He pointed out that IMU is a comprehensive university established by the Party and the State in ethnic border region, has received strong support from the Party and the State over its 67 years of establishment. At the same time, it has also made a series of achievements in many aspects such as teaching and scientific research. The social security discipline of IMU is based on national strategies and regional economic and social development needs, continuously optimizing discipline layout and creating distinctive advantages. Over many years of development, it has formed a complete talent cultivation chain connecting undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels, making significant contributions to the development of social security in Inner Mongolia. Cheng Tao hopes that experts and all sectors of society will continue to pay attention to and support the development of the social security discipline at IMU, and also hopes that teachers can exchange ideas and learn from each other during this conference to jointly promote the development of the discipline.
This teaching seminar is co-sponsored by the Chinese Social Security Association and IMU, and undertaken by the Teaching Committee of the Chinese Social Security Association and the School of Public Management at IMU. The conference included keynote reports, thematic speeches, and four sub-forums on professional construction and model innovation, disciplinary development and academic frontiers, curriculum construction and teaching reform, curriculum ideology and politics and practical teaching.
The National Social Security Teaching Seminar is held annually. The successful hosting of this conference enhanced the influence of IMU's social security discipline within the country, showing the highlights and characteristics of the construction and development of social security specialties at IMU to the domestic academic community, and demonstrating the comprehensive strength of IMU's social security discipline.
