The unveiling ceremony of the “Administrative Service Station for International Students in China” by the Hohhot Public Security Bureau and Inner Mongolia University was held at the International Education College on May 30th. Bai Ruili, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Hohhot Public Security Bureau, and Da Hubai, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of our university, delivered speeches and jointly unveiled the Station.

The “Administrative Service Station for International Students in China” is a specific measure to improve the education openness, coordinate the two major tasks of “bringing in” and “going out,” and strengthen efforts to accomplish the “five major tasks” entrusted by General Secretary Xi Jinping to Inner Mongolia and the comprehensive construction of a model autonomous region. This service station actively serves and integrates into the strategy of the autonomous region opening to the north, helping to play a good role as a bridgehead in opening up to the north and building a specific mechanism for managing international students with the characteristic of being the “best place” in Hohhot.

Since the 1980s, our university has been receiving international students from more than 60 countries and regions on all five continents, with a total of more than 4,400 students. The “Administrative Service Station for International Students in China” will further enhance our university’s level of international education, provide support for the construction of the “Double First-Class” project and the “Inner Mongolia University for International Students” brand, and contribute to telling Chinese stories, promoting Chinese experiences, and making Chinese voices heard.
