Recently, the Market Supervision Administration (Intellectual Property Office) of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region released the Inner Mongolia’s Top 20 Cases of Patent Industrialization Excellence. Multilingual Artificial Intelligence Cloud Service Platform and Promotion and Application of Its Related Product, the patent group of Prof. Fei Long’s team, successfully made the list.
This patent group is based on independently constructed large-scale multilingual speech, text, and image databases. Its core is innovative technologies related to multilingual intelligent information processing and cloud computing services. It is featured by the intelligent information processing technology in Mongolian language, leading the integration of Mongolian language knowledge with deep learning technology. This actively promotes the research and engineering applications of key technologies in cloud computing, big data, multimedia, and artificial intelligence fields, providing key technological solutions and high-quality information technology service platforms for multilingual information processing technology and cloud services research both domestically and internationally.
Prof. Fei Long’s team focuses on the “Five Major Tasks” assigned to Inner Mongolia by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the comprehensive development of a model autonomous region, conducting industry-academia-research collaboration. They have developed platforms and products such as the “Ancient Book Resource of Northern China Culture Platform,” “Multilingual Artificial Intelligence Cloud Service Platform,” and “Galaxy Kylin Desktop Operating System (Mongolian version).” In the past five years, the direct economic benefits amounted to 34.6 million yuan, with an annual average of over 93 million calls to public welfare cloud services. These achievements have been applied in 83 institutions and 46 schools, such as Inner Mongolia Daily, Inner Mongolia Publishing Group, and Inner Mongolia Higher People’s Court, playing an important role in promoting the intelligence information of ethnic languages and texts, and the development of information industry in border areas. It also contributes to promoting ethnic unity and progress, cultural and tourism exchanges between China and Mongolia, and advancing the Belt and Road Initiative.
